Jobs list

You are welcome to search the online jobs list, but in order to apply for positions you must have your status set to ‘Seeking Work’ and you must have an up to date PDF CV and photo uploaded to the site.

  • To view jobs select the type you are looking for or click ‘Show All Jobs’ to see the full list.
  • To apply for a particular position, click on ‘More info’. This will tell you if there is more information on the position and there will also be a box that says either ‘Complete profile’ or ‘Apply now’. If it says you need to complete your profile, then you must make sure you have a PDF CV uploaded and your status set to seeking work. Also, if you do not have the qualifications required for the position then you will not be able to apply.
  • When your application has been processed, you will always receive an email in your personal email inbox to tell you whether you have been put forward or not – if you have not it will give a reason why.

Review jobs applied for:

  • This will allow you to if you have any job applications waiting and will tell you whether they have been put forward.

Edit your profile:

With the new updates of the system, this part of the site has changed considerably.
Employers will now need to have a password to log in to the system. Instead of viewing your profile page they will instead be able to view your CV if you give permission to do so. If you do not want your CV to be shown, you can also give permission for them to email you via the site – they will not be able to see your contact details.

You will no longer be required to fill in the individual boxes on the profile, but make sure you have an up to date CV (not as a word document, but as a PDF, otherwise it cannot be shown to employers) and photo so that if you want to give permission for this to be shown, tick the appropriate boxes on your profile page.

Also, make sure that you have all the qualifications selected from the list so that employers will know what tickets you have.

  • Please be aware that the service is designed to protect your privacy. Contact details and any references given within this section will only be available to employers if you give your permission.
  • Your CV must still not go over 500kb as with your photo. It must be in a PDF form rather than a Word document. If it is easier, then there is a new for users to construct a PDF CV through the website.
  • This can be found on your profile page underneath where you would normally upload a CV. Click on construct PDF CV Wizard and fill in the information accordingly.

As well as your CV you will also have the option to upload your Course Completion Certificate for employers to view. If you don’t want them to see your CV they will at least be able to see what grade you got during the course and what qualifications etc you hold.

PDF Creation:

If you have an existing word document CV that would would like to turn into a PDF and don't know how to do this we have the following options for you.

  1. If you are in the UKSA internet cafe there should be instructions there for you to talk you through printing your word document as a PDF.
